286.204 Inspection of stock before sale; application; assumed name.

Sec. 4.

Any nursery, nurseryman, dealer, plant grower or agent desiring to sell or give away nursery stock in this state shall make application in writing before April 1 of each year to the director for the inspection of his nursery stock growing in this state, or failing to give such notice, such nursery, nurseryman, dealer, plant grower or agent shall be liable for the additional expense of the inspector for the inspection of the nursery stock. The application shall be made under the true name of the nursery grower or dealer, as the case may be. If an assumed name is used, the proprietor's name and address must also appear on the application. This requirement shall also apply in all advertising or printed matter used or distributed.
