Act 116 of 1954 168.196 Candidates for nomination; write-in when no candidate. Sec. 196. If for any reason the number of candidates of a political party for any 1 or more of the offices named in section 191 of this act shall be equal to less than the total number to be nominated by said political party, a blank space or spaces shall be provided on each of the official primary ballots which will afford every elector of said party an opportunity to vote for as many candidates for such office as are to be nominated by said party, by writing in the name or names of his or her selection or by the use of slips or pasters.
