Section 28. Any advertisement, within the commonwealth, in a language other than English made by a bank, or federally-chartered bank to aid, promote or assist directly or indirectly any deposit account offered by such bank or federally-chartered bank shall state in such other language what language the forms associated with the opening and maintenance of such account are in.

For the purposes of this section, “advertisement” shall mean any commercial message in any newspaper, magazine, leaflet, flyer or catalog, on radio, television or public address system, in direct mail literature or other printed material, on any interior or exterior sign or display, in any window display, in any point-of-transaction literature or price tag which is delivered or made available to a customer or prospective customer in any manner whatsoever.
