2006 Massachusetts Code - Section 22. Allowance for defense.

Section 22. If a conservator or a guardian for a mentally ill or mentally retarded person or spendthrift is appointed, the court shall make an allowance, to be paid by the conservator or guardian, for all reasonable expenses incurred by the ward in opposing the petition.
