2006 Massachusetts Code - Chapter 3 — Section 58. Director and assistants of research bureau; appointment; compensation; civil service status.

Section 58. The council shall appoint a person qualified by education, training and experience who shall be the director of the bureau. The council shall also appoint such assistants to the director as are necessary to carry out the program of statistical research and fact-finding required by the council. The compensation of the director and other bureau employees shall be subject to the approval of the committees on rules of the two branches, acting concurrently, of the general court. The director and his assistants shall not be subject to chapter thirty-one.
