Subtitle 10 - Civil Air Patrol Leave
§ 3-1001. Definitions

  • (a) In general. -- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

  • (b) Civil Air Patrol leave. -- "Civil Air Patrol leave" means leave requested by an employee who:

    • (1) is a volunteer member of the civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force known as the Civil Air Patrol; and

    • (2) has been authorized by the United States Air Force, the Governor, or a political subdivision of the State to respond to an emergency mission.

  • (c) Employee. -- "Employee" means any individual who performs services for, or under the control of, a provider of wages or remuneration.

  • (d) Employee benefits. -- "Employee benefits" means all benefits other than wages given by an employer.

  • (e) Employer. -- "Employer" means any person that employs more than 15 employees.
