§ 9-206. Duties
Universal Citation: MD State Govt Code § 9-206 (2017)
- (a) Uniform laws. -- In addition to any duties set forth elsewhere, the Commission shall:
- (1) represent the State in the National Conference;
- (2) meet with representatives of other states in the National Conference;
- (3) draft uniform laws and model acts for submission to and adoption by the states;
- (4) recommend the best action to accomplish uniformity in legislation; and
- (5) otherwise seek the best means to obtain uniformity in the laws of the states.
- (b) Annual report. --
- (1) Before each regular session of the General Assembly, the Commission shall submit an annual report:
- (i) to the Governor; and
- (ii) subject to ยง 2-1246 of this article, to the General Assembly.
- (2) The annual report shall:
- (i) describe the activities of the Commission; and
- (ii) include recommendations on appropriate subjects.
