§ 2-1510. Designee for presentment
Universal Citation: MD State Govt Code § 2-1510 (2017)
- (a) Permitted. -- The Governor may designate another individual to receive bills while the Governor is ill or necessarily absent from the seat of the State government.
- (b) Form. -- A designation under this section:
- (1) shall be in writing;
- (2) shall be sent to the presiding officer of the Senate and the presiding officer of the House;
- (3) on receipt by those officers, shall be entered in full in the Senate journal and the House journal; and
- (4) is effective during the period that the Governor specifies.
