Title 19 - Health Care Facilities
Subtitle 22A - Maryland Council on Advancement of School-Based Health Centers.
§ 19-22A-02. Established
Universal Citation: MD Health-Gen Code § 19-22A-02 (2017)
- (a) In general. -- There is a Maryland Council on Advancement of School-Based Health Centers in the Department.
- (b) Purpose. -- The purpose of the Council is to improve the health and educational outcomes of students who receive services from school-based health centers by advancing the integration of school-based health centers into:
- (1) The health care system at the State and local levels; and
- (2) The educational system at the State and local levels.
- (c) Staff. --
- (1) Staff support for the Council shall be provided by the Commission.
- (2) The Commission may seek the assistance of organizations with expertise in school-based health care or other matters within the duties of the Council provided in ยง 19-22A-05 of this subtitle to provide additional staffing resources to the Commission and the Council.
