§ 11-404. Examination in aid of enforcement of a money judgment.

  • (a) Applicability. -- This section applies to an examination in aid of enforcement of a money judgment entered or recorded in a circuit court or in the District Court.
  • (b) Showing of good cause not required; exception. --
    • (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, in ruling on a request by a judgment creditor for an examination in aid of enforcement, the court may not require the judgment creditor to show that good cause exists for the examination.
    • (2) The court may require a judgment creditor to show that good cause exists for the examination of a person if the court granted a request by the judgment creditor for an examination of the same person within the previous 12 months.
