§ 13-1401. Definitions.

MD Crim Law Code § 13-1401 (2016) What's This?

(a) In general. -- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) County Commissioners. -- "County Commissioners" means the Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County.

(c) Gaming event. -- "Gaming event" includes a bazaar, carnival, raffle, tip jar, punchboard, and any other event at which a gaming device is operated.

(d) Gaming device. --

(1) "Gaming device" means:

(i) except for a billiard table, a gaming table at which a game of chance is played for money or any other thing or consideration of value; or

(ii) a game or device at which money or any other thing or consideration of value is bet, wagered, or gambled.

(2) "Gaming device" includes a paddle wheel, wheel of fortune, and chance book.
