§ 10-102 - Scope of subtitle [Subject to amendment effective October 1, 2013; amended version follows this section] [Effective until October 1, 2013]


MD State Govt Code § 10-102 (2013) What's This?

§10-102. IN EFFECT

(a) Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, this subtitle applies to:

(1) each unit in the Executive Branch of the State government; and

(2) each unit that:

(i) is created by public general law; and

(ii) operates in at least 2 counties.

(b) This subtitle does not apply to:

(1) a unit in the Legislative Branch of the State government;

(2) a unit in the Judicial Branch of the State government;

(3) the Injured Workers’ Insurance Fund;

(4) a board of license commissioners; or

(5) the Rural Maryland Council.

10-102. ** TAKES EFFECT OCTOBER 1, 2013 PER CHAPTER 570 OF 2012 **

(a) Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, this subtitle applies to:

(1) each unit in the Executive Branch of the State government; and

(2) each unit that:

(i) is created by public general law; and

(ii) operates in at least 2 counties.

(b) This subtitle does not apply to:

(1) a unit in the Legislative Branch of the State government;

(2) a unit in the Judicial Branch of the State government;

(3) a board of license commissioners; or

(4) the Rural Maryland Council.

(a) In general. -- Except as otherwise expressly provided by law, this subtitle applies to:

(1) each unit in the Executive Branch of the State government; and

(2) each unit that:

(i) is created by public general law; and

(ii) operates in at least 2 counties.

(b) Exclusions. -- This subtitle does not apply to:

(1) a unit in the Legislative Branch of the State government;

(2) a unit in the Judicial Branch of the State government;

(3) the Injured Workers' Insurance Fund;

(4) a board of license commissioners;

(5) the Rural Maryland Council; or

(6) the Military Department.
