§ 8-301 - Definitions

§8-301.

(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

(b) “Blind child” means a child 6 years old or older and under 19 who has a visual impairment and because of that impairment cannot progress satisfactorily in an ordinary public or private school.

(c) “Deaf child” means a child 6 years old or older and under 19 who has a hearing impairment and because of that impairment cannot progress satisfactorily in an ordinary public or private school.
