Section 11-207 - Suspension or modification of filing requirements.

§ 11-207. Suspension or modification of filing requirements.
 

(a)  In general.-  

(1) By written order, the Commissioner may suspend or modify the filing requirement for a kind of insurance, subdivision or combination of kinds of insurance, or for classes of risks, for which it is not practicable to file rates before they are used. 

(2) The Commissioner shall adopt regulations for the suspension or modification of filing requirements. 

(b)  Notice to insurers and rating organizations.- A regulation adopted or order issued under this section shall be made known to the insurers and rating organizations affected by the regulation or order. 

(c)  Examinations.- The Commissioner may make any examination that the Commissioner considers advisable to determine if the rates affected by an order issued under this section meet the standards set forth in § 11-205 of this subtitle.
