Subtitle 2 - Respite Care for Individuals with Developmental or Functional Disabilities
Section 7-201 - Definitions.

§ 7-201. Definitions.
 

(a)  In general.- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.

This subsection is new language added as the standard introductory language to a definition section. 

(b)  Department.- "Department" means the Department of Human Resources.

This subsection is new language added to avoid repetition of the full reference to the "Department of Human Resources". 

(c)  Respite care.- "Respite care" means short-term care: 

(1) of an individual with a developmental or functional disability described under § 7-202 of this subtitle; and 

(2) that is provided either within or outside the individual's home to give temporary relief to the individual or the individual's family.

This subsection is new language derived without substantive change from former Art. 88A, § 128(a), as it related to individuals with developmental or functional disabilities. 
 

The reference to a disability "described under § 7-202 of this subtitle" is added for clarity.
