§ 8-101. Claim not paid in normal course of administration.
 

(a)  Before administration.- Except as provided in § 8-104, a proceeding to enforce a claim against an estate of a decedent may not be revived or commenced before the appointment of a personal representative. 

(b)  During administration.- After appointment and until the estate is closed, the procedure prescribed by § 8-104 shall be followed. 

(c)  After administration.- After the estate is closed, a creditor whose claim has not been barred may recover directly from the persons to whom property has been distributed as provided in § 10-102, or from a former personal representative individually as provided in § 10-103.
