Section 10-612 - Abandoning domestic animal.

§ 10-612. Abandoning domestic animal.
 

(a)  Prohibited.- A person who owns, possesses, or has custody of a domestic animal may not drop or leave the animal on a road, in a public place, or on private property with the intent to abandon the animal. 

(b)  Penalty.- A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $100.
