Section 11-508 - Sale of property which cannot be divided.

§ 11-508. Sale of property which cannot be divided.
 

(a)  In general.- If the appraiser determines that the defendant's property cannot be divided to satisfy a judgment without loss to the defendant, the sheriff shall sell the property. After the sale, the defendant is entitled to $100 from the proceeds of sale. 

(b)  Proceeds may not be less than $100.- The sheriff may not sell the property if the proceeds of sale would be less than $100. 

(c)  Limited application of section.- This section applies only when a single parcel of land or single item of personal property is levied on.
