Section 11-1001 - Holding race meeting without license.

§ 11-1001. Holding race meeting without license.
 

(a)  In general.- Except in accordance with a license, a person may not hold, or aid or abet in holding, a race meeting at which horses are raced for a purse, reward, or stake. 

(b)  Penalty.- A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, is subject to a fine not exceeding $10,000 for each day of violation or imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or both.
