Article - Education

§ 23-103.

      (a)      The head of the Division of Library Development and Services is the Assistant Superintendent for Libraries who is appointed by the State Board on the recommendation of the State Superintendent.

      (b)      The Assistant Superintendent for Libraries shall:

            (1)      Hold an advanced degree in library and information service;

            (2)      Have administrative experience in libraries; and

            (3)      Have any other qualifications the State Superintendent considers necessary.

      (c)      (1)      The Division may employ the professional and clerical staff provided in the State budget.

            (2)      Each employee of the Division is entitled to the salary provided in the State budget.
