Article - Correctional Services

§ 2-303.

      The Council consists of:

            (1)      one member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the President of the Senate;

            (2)      one member of the House of Delegates, appointed by the Speaker of the House;

            (3)      the Secretary of Public Safety and Correctional Services;

            (4)      the State Superintendent of Education;

            (5)      one representative of Baltimore City appointed by the Mayor of Baltimore;

            (6)      one representative of the Judicial Branch of the State government appointed by the Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals;

            (7)      the Secretary of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation; and

            (8)      seven members appointed by the Governor as follows:

                  (i)      four representatives of the business community;

                  (ii)      two representatives of faith based or nonprofit communities; and

                  (iii)      one representative from a labor trade.
