Maryland Baltimore Metropolitan Council Section 3

      (a)      The Council consists of the following members, appointed as provided:

            (1)      One member shall be appointed by the County Executive of Anne Arundel County;

            (2)      One member shall be appointed by the County Executive of Baltimore County;

            (3)      One member shall be appointed by the County Executive of Harford County;

            (4)      One member shall be appointed by the County Executive of Howard County;

            (5)      One member shall be appointed by the Mayor of Baltimore;

            (6)      One member shall be appointed by the County Commissioners of Carroll County; and

            (7)      Other members as provided in the Council Charter.

      (b)      The term of a member is indefinite.

      (c)      Each member serves at the pleasure of the member's appointing authority.

      (d)      From among the members of the Council, the members shall elect a chairman as provided in the Council Charter.

      (e)      A member of the Council:

            (1)      May not receive compensation; but

            (2)      Is entitled to reimbursement for reasonable expenses.
