§1405. Emergencies

When emergency situations are certified by the chief administrative officer of a state institution to exist at the institution, the commissioner may, with the approval of the Governor, assign departmental personnel as may be necessary to assist in controlling the emergency situation. 1. Temporary assignment. The assignment of personnel shall be only for the period during which the emergency exists.

2. Compensation. Any personnel transferred are entitled to receive compensation as required by the Civil Service Law, rules and contract terms.
