§3833. Gambling prohibited

1. Prohibited games and activities. No innkeeper or victualer may:

A. Have or keep for gambling purposes about the business establishment any dice, cards, bowls, billiards, quoits or other implements used in gambling; or [1987, c. 737, Pt. A, §2 (NEW); 1987, c. 737, Pt. C, §106 (NEW); 1989, c. 6, (AMD); 1989, c. 9, §2 (AMD); 1989, c. 104, Pt. C, §§8, 10 (AMD).]

B. Allow any person resorting to the establishment to use for gambling purposes any of the games under subsection 1, or any other illegal game or sport in the establishment. [1987, c. 737, Pt. 2. Penalty. Any person who uses any game or sport prohibited by this section for gambling purposes in any prohibited establishment commits a civil violation for which a forfeiture of $5 may be adjudged.
