§1560. Compensation of expert witnesses
The court shall set the compensation of each expert witness appointed by the court at a reasonable amount. The court may order the parties to pay the compensation in appropriate proportions and may order when the payments are to be made. The court may order that, after payment by the parties, all, part or none of the compensation may be taxed as costs in the action. The fee of an expert witness called by a party but not appointed by the court must be paid by the party calling the expert witness and may not be taxed as costs in the action. [1995, c. 694, Pt.
