§2353. Duties

RS 2353 - Duties

The council shall have the following duties:

(1) To advise the governor on all matters pertaining to pollution control, management of natural resources, and land use activities within the state.

(2) To serve as a coordinating body to ensure that activities of the several agencies functioning in this field are directed toward the goal of this legislation.

(3) To serve as a clearinghouse for all statements of environmental impact prepared or reviewed by state agencies in accordance with Public Law 91-190, The National Environmental Policy Act1.

(4) To function in conjunction with all state and federal agencies to develop interrelated environmental quality criteria and long-range environmental quality goals.
