§407.69. Operating without or in violation of registration; penalty; injunctive relief

RS 407.69 - Operating without or in violation of registration; penalty; injunctive relief

A. Any family child care provider or in-home provider who is required to be registered under this Part and who provides child care services without a valid registration issued by the department shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars. Each day child care services are provided in violation of the requirements of this Part shall constitute a separate offense.

B. The department may also file suit in the district court in the parish in which the family child care provider or in-home provider is providing care, for injunctive relief, including a temporary restraining order, to restrain the family child care provider or in-home provider from continuing the violation.
