§463.67. Special prestige license plates; "I Support River Region Cancer Center"
A. The secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections shall establish prestige license plates for motor vehicles, restricted to passenger cars, pickup trucks, recreational vehicles, and vans, which plates shall include the phrase "I Support River Region Cancer Center" and a logo to be determined by the River Region Cancer Screening and Early Detection Center.
B. The donation for this special license plate shall be twenty-six dollars, which shall be assessed every two years in addition to the regular fee charged under the provisions of R.S. 47:463.
C. The revenues realized from the additional twenty-six dollar donation imposed by Subsection B of this Section shall be remitted to the state as provided by law. The state treasurer shall disburse an amount equal to those revenues to the office of public health in the Louisiana Department of Health. The funds raised from the additional license plate donation shall be disbursed from the office of public health to the River Region Cancer Screening and Early Detection Center and shall be used solely for the purposes of such center.
D. The secretary shall adopt administrative rules to implement the provisions of this Section.
E. The department shall approve any logo, symbol, or design before production of such plates is commenced.
