§1278. Illness, disability, or absence

In the case of the illness, disability, or absence of any court reporter, the judges of the court may assign another court reporter to perform the duties of the court reporter who is ill, has a disability, or is absent. The judges of the court may appoint a qualified person to serve temporarily as a court reporter during such period of illness, disability, or absence. The person so appointed court reporter to serve temporarily shall receive the compensation and fees provided in R.S. 13:1272 and 1273.
