RS 51:2212 - Definitions
§2212. Definitions
As used in this Chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them below:
(1) "Biosciences" means any of the branches of natural science dealing with the structure and behavior of living organisms, including but not limited to translational and regenerative research, development, manufacture, testing, marketing or distribution of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology products, biotechnology and health-related software, and medical devices that will eventually be used by health care providers to treat, cure, prevent, or mitigate disease or health conditions.
(2) "Board" means the MediFund governing board.
(3) "Fund" means the MediFund created by the provisions of this Chapter.
