§1441.10. Operating without or in violation of registration or licensure; penalty; injunctive relief

A. Whoever operates a family child day care home or group child day care home required to be registered or licensed under this Chapter without a valid registration or license issued by the department shall be fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars. Each day of operation in violation of the requirements of this Chapter shall constitute a separate offense.

B. The department may also file suit in the district court in the parish in which the home is located for injunctive relief, including a temporary restraining order, to restrain the institution, society, agency, corporation, person or persons, or any other group operating the home from continuing the violation.
