§2520. Additional court costs in traffic matters; Judicial College

A. In all prosecutions in the Traffic Court of New Orleans, including all traffic violations other than parking, there shall be taxed as costs against every defendant, who is convicted after trial or plea of guilty or nolo contendere or who forfeits his bond, the sum of fifty cents, which shall be in addition to all other fines, costs, or forfeitures lawfully imposed.

B. All fees collected pursuant to Subsection A of this Section shall be deposited into a special account and transmitted monthly to the Louisiana Supreme Court to defray the costs associated with the Judicial College's general growth and program improvement strategies.
