§282. Index; filing and indexing fees; copies of certificates as evidence

The register of conveyances of the parish of Orleans and the clerks of court shall keep an alphabetical index of all persons filing certificates provided for in this Sub-part, and shall charge a filing fee of twenty-five cents each, and a fee of fifty cents each for the issuance of certified copies. A copy of a duly certified certificate shall be presumptive evidence of the facts contained in it.
