§2416. Proceedings within jurisdiction of district courts

NOTE: Repealed by Acts 2008, No. 822, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 2010.

The district court of the last domicile of the deceased, and in the parish of Orleans, the civil district court, shall have original jurisdiction to hear and determine all the proceedings provided by this Part. In the case of a nonresident decedent, the court of any parish in which he left property, movable or immovable, shall exercise such jurisdiction, and the court in which such proceedings are first begun shall have exclusive original jurisdiction thereof.
