§210.1.  Special assistant to the governor on women's policy

There shall be a special assistant to the governor on women's policy.  The special assistant shall be appointed by the governor, subject to Senate confirmation, to serve at his pleasure.  The special assistant shall have extensive knowledge regarding the status of women in Louisiana and national comparisons.  The special assistant shall perform the duties assigned by the governor and shall coordinate the powers, duties, functions, responsibilities, and focus of state agencies pertaining to the employment, education, health, safety, financial status, and welfare of women.
