§2198.1.  Rural primary health clinics

A.  The authority, through the Department of Health and Hospitals, shall establish primary health clinics in each rural parish and shall enhance comprehensive regional treatment centers to meet the special health care needs of rural Louisiana in the areas of Alexandria, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Monroe, New Orleans, and Lake Charles.

B.  The authority shall take necessary actions to increase the number of primary care physicians serving rural Louisiana.
