CHAPTER 3-D.  CAPITAL CONSTRUCTION AND

IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION

§465.1.  Creation of commission; composition; function

There is hereby created as a body politic and corporate the Capital Construction and Improvement Commission, hereinafter sometimes referred to as the Board, composed ex-officio of the Governor of the State of Louisiana who shall serve as chairman, the state comptroller who shall serve as secretary, the state treasurer who shall serve as treasurer, the lieutenant governor, the speaker of the house of representatives, the chairman of the house appropriations committee, and the chairman of the senate finance committee.  Said board is hereby authorized and directed to obtain funds not in excess of one hundred forty million dollars for the construction, extension and improvement of highways, highway bridges and other highway structures comprising the state highway system including the acquisition of lands and right of ways required therefor and to implement the capital outlay program established by R.S. 39:61 and 39:62, sometimes referred to as the capital outlay budget of the division of administration, and for any other project or program enumerated hereunder when approved as herein provided.
