§109.  Coordination and cooperation

A.  It is the policy of this Chapter that the Lower Atchafalaya interim flood protection projects be pursued so that there is full coordination and cooperation between all federal and state entities that have complementing or overlapping interests and authority in the projects.  The chairman of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority may coordinate all of the state and local governmental aspects of the projects so that there is an orderly development of the project.

B.  The chairman of the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority may call upon the cities of Morgan City and Berwick, and all other commissions and districts and state agencies, departments, and political subdivisions of the state for full and complete cooperation and assistance in carrying out the provisions of this Chapter, and all such entities are hereby directed and it shall be their duty to cooperate and assist the department to the fullest extent possible.
