§387.15. Special permit; boats; interstate highways
A. The secretary shall issue special permits for the movement of boats not to exceed sixteen feet in width on interstate highways in this state. Vehicles transporting boats that require such permits on interstate highways shall not exceed a speed of fifty-five miles per hour.
B. The provisions of R.S. 32:387 that are not in conflict with this Section are applicable to the issuance of special permits under this Section.
C. The secretary may refuse to issue a special permit under this Section whenever, because of construction, the condition of the highway, or traffic conditions, the public would be endangered by the use sought to be permitted.
