§295.1.  Membership; tenure

The members of the commission shall consist of one judge of the district court in and for the parish of Vermilion and six attorneys actively engaged in the practice of law in Vermilion Parish, to be selected by the court en banc.  The judge selected shall serve for a term of three years, or until his successor is duly chosen.  Initially, there shall be two attorneys to serve for a term of one year, two to serve for two years, and two to serve for three years; thereafter in each succeeding year two attorneys shall be selected to serve for three years, or until their successors are duly chosen.
