§2092.  Organizational structure of advisory councils; standing committees

A.  Generally, the commission, through its standing committees, shall carry out the duties and functions currently prescribed for existing state councils described under the federal and state laws relating to the applicable federal human resource programs as provided under this Chapter.

B.  The chairman of the commission shall appoint a commission member to chair each standing committee, except as provided in R.S. 23:2096.

C.  The chairman of each standing committee may appoint commission members and persons who are not commission members, or both, to his respective committee.  In making the appointments to the standing committees, the committee chairman shall give due consideration to those persons currently serving on the respective state advisory councils or commissions.  The chairman of each standing committee shall, with the commission's approval, fix the qualifications and terms of office for the noncommission standing committee membership.
