§2054.  Funding

A.  Federal funding for the operation of the federal advisory councils shall be allocated to the commission according to federal requirements.

B.  The commission shall develop a budget to carry out the commission's duties and responsibilities under this Chapter.  The commission shall submit its budget to the House of Representatives Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations, the Senate Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations, and the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget.

C.  The commission shall follow the provisions of Chapter 1, Subtitle I of Title 39 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 in preparing its budget.

D.  The budget shall identify funds appropriated for planning, evaluation, and implementation of a workforce development program under the jurisdiction of the commission and may recommend the transfer of those funds to the functions being assumed by the commission.

E.  The commission may apply for, contract for, receive, and expend for its purposes any appropriation or grant from the state, its political subdivisions, the federal government, or any other public or private source.
