§2051.  Designees

A.  Each commission member may appoint a designee to serve in his stead.  Each commission member who desires to have a designee shall provide written notice of such to the chairman of the commission.  Such written notice shall name the individual who shall be the official designee until the commission member revokes such designation.  No commission member shall be represented in a meeting other than by the official designee.

B.  Notwithstanding Subsection A of this Section, designees of the secretary of the Department of Labor, the secretary of the Department of Social Services, and the secretary of the Department of Economic Development and the state superintendent of education may vote.  However, no designee in such representative capacity shall participate or vote in a full commission meeting at which final adoption of an annual strategic plan or budgetary policy recommendations are considered and voted on.
