§2049.  Commission meetings

A.  All meetings of the commission shall be open and subject to the provisions of R.S. 42:4.1 et seq.  A record of all proceedings at regular and special meetings of the commission shall be kept and shall be open to public inspection, as provided in R.S. 42:6.1.

B.  The commission shall initially meet no less often than once per month and shall, in its first year of operation, adopt a regular schedule of meetings.

C.  A quorum of the commission shall be a majority of the members serving.  In order for the commission to take official action, affirmative approval of a majority of members serving is required.  All members present shall vote, except as provided in Subsection D of this Section.

D.  If any commission member, in the discharge of a duty or responsibility of his office or position, would be required to vote on a matter which vote would be a violation of R.S. 42:1112 or 1113(B), he shall recuse himself from voting.

E.  Designees, as provided in R.S. 23:2051, shall be considered as members for purposes of establishing a quorum.
