CHAPTER 46-A.  DIABETES INITIATIVES

§2616.  Louisiana Diabetes Initiatives Council; creation; funding

The legislature hereby creates the Louisiana Diabetes Initiatives Council, hereinafter referred to as the "council" within the Department of Health and Hospitals.  The operations of the council shall be funded conditional upon the receipt of federal, public or private funds awarded for the purpose of diabetes research.  In addition, the council may accept and expend grant and private donations from any source including but not limited to federal, state, public, and private entities to assist in carrying out its functions.
