§160.9.  Low-income program

The department shall establish a program within the project providing assistance to low-income individuals and families to purchase health insurance or high deductible catastrophic health insurance, enroll in a managed care plan, or purchase a benefit payment schedule plan utilizing vouchers and medical savings accounts.  The eligibility requirements for such other eligible individuals shall be established by the department based on the availability of monies and other factors deemed relevant to the successful administration and implementation of such a program, including but not limited to a sliding-scale cost schedule based on the financial status and size of the low-income family.
