§2092.8.4.  Title insurance agent; restrictions

The title insurance agent shall not:

(1)  Bind reinsurance on behalf of the title insurer.

(2)  Permit any of its directors, officers, controlling shareholders, or employees to serve on the title insurer's board of directors if the title insurance agent wrote one percent or more of the direct premiums of the title insurer written in the previous calendar year as shown on the title insurer's most recent annual statement filed with the department.  This Subsection shall not apply to relationships governed by R.S. 22:1001 through 1015.

(3)  Jointly employ an individual who is employed with the title insurer unless the title insurer and the title insurance agent are affiliated or otherwise under common control as defined by R.S. 22:1002(3).
