§169.  Automatic premium loans

Nothing in R.S. 22:167 or 22:168 shall be construed to prohibit any insurer from including in its policies a provision for automatic premium loans to prevent default in the payment of premiums.  No such provision shall be effective in any policy delivered or issued for delivery in this state unless requested in writing by the applicant or insured.
