§1450.2.  Joint Legislative Committee on Insurance; creation; composition

A.  The Joint Legislative Committee on Insurance is hereby created to undertake a comprehensive study and revision of the insurance laws of the state.  

B.  The committee shall be composed of ten members.  Three members of the Senate Committee on Insurance shall be appointed by the chairman of that committee and five members of the House Committee on Insurance shall be appointed by the chairman of that committee.  The chairman of the Senate Committee on Insurance and the chairman of the House Committee on Insurance shall be ex officio voting members and shall serve as cochairmen.  

C.  A quorum of the committee shall consist of a majority of the total membership.  

D.  No action on any provisions recommended by the committee to be included in the proposed draft code shall be taken by the joint committee except by a favorable vote of a majority of the members from each house serving on the committee, each house voting separately.  

E.  The committee shall cease to function under the provisions of this Part on September 1, 1992.
