§2408.  Reinstatement of license not renewed

A.  A licensee who allows his license to lapse by failing to renew the license as provided by R.S. 37:2407 may be reinstated upon satisfactory explanation for the failure to renew and the payment of both the renewal fee for the current year and the reinstatement fee, which fees are provided in R.S. 37:2406.  

B.  A licensee who allows his license to lapse and fails to meet continuing education requirements, without a satisfactory explanation as determined by the board, may be required to take the licensing examination and pay the fees for relicensure and examination as required by the board's administrative regulations prior to relicensure.
